Was his choice of Sarah Palin as a running mate proof that he would have been a president who lacked poor judgement?

Pastor Manning, as usual, makes some pretty wild claims in one of his most recent videos.
Obama will cause whites to rise up and attack…
Obama must be exposed for the fraud he is…
My favorite, he’s the long-legged mack daddy
Michelle Obama is a terrorist
As a result, he will be on the safe side…that is with white Americans.
Can’t wait to see if he can join the Aryan Nations…
Oh, and that prophecy he gave declaring Obama would not be president; it came to pass. Obama is not the president since he isn’t constitutionally eligible. That should shut up those who feel that Manning is a false prophet.

I’m quite sure you’ve heard that Sarah Palin resigned from her position as governor of Alaska. That revelation leads me to ask a few questions:
Was she forced out by bitter republicans or was it of her own free will?
Does her resignation show that she lacks skills necessary for leadership?
Is her resignation a setback for women in politics or leadership in general?
Should we be relieved that she’s not the vice president?
Would anyone trust her as President of the United States?
Has she destroyed her chances for a successful run for the highest office in the land?

Does that question really have to be asked? Well, the answer is a resounding yes as far as I’m concerned. Here’s an interesting article by Stephanie Zachereck:
Coolness happens, if just barely, in Mann’s “Public Enemies,” which tells the story of how Depression-era celebrity bank robber John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) repeatedly and gleefully escaped the clutches of stalwart FBI agent Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale) for some 13 months, until the inevitable end, outside Chicago’s Biograph Theater in 1934. “Public Enemies” is a folk song rendered in visual shards instead of notes, hopscotching through parts of the Midwest as it follows Dillinger’s numerous bank robberies and evasions.

First let me admit a few things:
He was probably the greatest entertainer ever…
I liked his music…
He was a creative genius…
He was weird, strange, a freak, etc. That’s not the worst of it since I was once classified as weird myself.
BUT, he was also a pedophile…allegedly that is. For that reason alone, I am personally prevented from honoring him. Yes, I’d rather err on the side that he was molesting children. Why? I’d much rather believe he was a pervert and be wrong than honor a person who indeed abused children. The most recent case may have been a hoax but there were others who made the same accusation.
Think about it, people trash Elvis for allegedly making racist comments but they will look passed the possible rape of children by Michael Jackson.
Oh, and who was Farah Fawcett again? Jackson’s death basically knocked hers off of the media radar.

Father’s day is bittersweet for me. Why? I no longer have a father to call and wish a happy father’s day like many others have. He died in 2005 at the age of 52. Although this day isn’t as depressing as it was in previous years, it’s still very sad. I realize that not everyone can honor their fathers for whatever reason, but I’ll honor mine. There are some valuable life lessons that I learned from my father and for that, I thank him. Here goes:
He was a 20 year-old junior pastor of a pentecostal church when he married my 18 year-old mother back in 1972. My mother used to talk about how well he could shout. Those of you familiar with Pentecostals know what I’m talking about, LOL. Anyway, three years went by and both he and my mother grew distant from the church. Eventually, they became what is known as “backslidden” in christian circles.
A few more years went by and the christians began to assess “daddy’s” spiritual condition. “He’s no more good.” “I don’t know if he can come back (to God).” He’s going to hell.” etc… were the cries of the christians who knew it all. After being bombarded with all the gloom and doom comments, I found myself gazing at a childhood pic of my father with fear and sadness. Fear because the little boy with my face (in the pic) was destined to be tortured in a fiery hell with no hope.
When I was about 16, I had a conversation with my father that only recently struck. He said,
“I know what people are saying about me and I don’t care. I know about God and He can save me.”
Years went by until I reached the age of 31. While talking to my father again, he told me that he had gotten saved. He appeared filled with a hope and confidence that he was headed for eternal life. He died a year later.
It should come as no surprise that there was speculation at his funeral that daddy was burning in an eternal hell. Go figure, LOL. Whether you believe in God or not, you have to admire his ability to ignore the pharisees.
The moral of this story is that my father’s fierce, independent, I don’t care what you think attitude was passed down to yours truly.
Happy father’s day daddy

I’m not saying there should be. But if this guy had been named Al-Shahadi rather than Von Brunn, more hell would have broken lose. What do you think?

Remember this post I wote back in February? Here’s a reminder:
The firm behind President Barack Obama’s online election campaign have been signed up to help anti-racists take on the British National party in the European parliament elections in June.
Blue State Digital (BSD), which used the latest internettechnology to mobilise millions of people behind Obama, has been employed to help create a grassroots network across the UK as part of the campaign to stop the BNP leader, Nick Griffin, becoming the far-right party’s first MEP
Either they didn’t help with the campaign or they tried and failed. What do you think?
