On any given Sunday, you will find a black woman singing the praises of her God. But what we rarely see are black female atheists or agnostics. I have had the pleasure of corresponding with a few black women who boldly proclaim their atheism and I have to admit one thing. Their rational approach to [...]

It looks like another 30,000 troops will be headed to Iraq in 2009. What frustrates me is that there appears to be no end in sight. This reminds me of a t-shirt I saw with a phrase that is oh so true… Iraq is Arabic for Vietnam.

Boy, did I get the shock of my life when I read this post by Glenn Sacks. Apparently, he was so incensed by a comment I made that he felt compelled to write a post “in my honor.” He also called me a feminist blogger. For me to be called a feminist is an [...]

Ready for more of my conversations with co-workers?
First a bit of backstory. I once visited a blog in which a black gentleman complained that most black women prefer thugs. To him it was due to what he believes is the result of misplaced priorities that black women possess. In other words, he believes that black [...]

I have always wanted to facilitate a discussion between atheists and theists. So I have a few questions that I hope readers will answer.
Theists
1. Why do you believe in God?
2. Do you follow a particular religion? Identify it and briefly share the tenants of your faith.

Apparently, Don Imus has made another racially insensitive reference. So what? Until we react with an equal amount rage and disgust at black pedophiles like R Kelly and the rap industry that exploits and degrades black women, we really have no leg to stand on. I personally have no love for Don [...]

A poster sent this link which makes some pretty strong claims against the Jewish religion, the Talmud in particular. Below are some passages that are pretty disgusting. But I’d caution everyone to do their own homework before reaching any conclusions.
Pedophilia
Sanhedrin 55b. A Jew may marry a three year old girl (specifically, three years “and [...]

A female suicide bomber blew herself up along with 15 innocent Iraqi police and civilians. Second to the horrifying loss of life, her commitment to a lie is what I believe is a complete waste of an endeavor. I am all for men and women radically fighting for what is right in this [...]

I’m quite sure that most of the people attending this “preachers” meetings were too afraid to question or “try the spirit” as some would claim. Because of this fear, they made utter fools of themselves. This is one of the reasons I will no longer embrace Pentecostalism.
