Crystal Gayle Magnum Is Still A Disgrace!
I just read a post over at Lashawn Barber’s blog that stripper extraordinaire and compulsive liar Crystal Gayle Magnum has a memoir due out soon. What the hell could she possibly have to say? Hopefully it will be I’m sorry. This is due not only to the young white men she falsely accused but to black women such as myself. You see, her lie put fear in the hearts of many of us. It wasn’t an easy feeling believing that there is so much hatred out there directed at us (black women). This disgrace set our cause back about 30 years. So unless she is trying to make amends, she deserves no sympathy. Thank God her case did not hinder justice for the young and black Megan Williams, a real victim of rape and racial hatred.

False allegations of rape happen all the time…
I agree with you regarding the false allegations. But unfortunately, rape happens all the time as well. I can’t deny that anti-male hatred exists. But we also should not deny that the hatred of women exists. For example, women are treated like fifth class citizens in certain cultures. Yesterday, another blog I visit highlighted the brutal treatment of women within one Islamic nation. Can you imagine being buried alive simply because you didn’t want a forced marriage? Apparently, it’s the punishment of choice in an area of Pakistan. I’ll find the article’s link and forward it to you. Lastly, one thing that I will no longer ignore is the rampant disregard of black women among African-Americans. You should certainly highlight anti-male bias, but be objective to the fact that each culture has different targets. For some it’s men, others it’s women.
You mentioned the case of Megan Williams.. which was truely horrible. Yet the fact remains that there are crimes out there against white women by black men THAT ARE EVERY BIT AS BAD. In Tennesee during the Duke rape hoax 2 young white people were abducted by 7 african americans raped and tortuted TO DEATH. At least Megan is alive. Any crime that is white on black is seen as a hate crime.. but the other way around it is just a crime. The reality is that rape crosses all racial boundaries. It is unfair that African Americans always have to point out when a crime in white (or Asian/Hispanic/etc) on black yet demand it doesn’t matter when it’s the other way around.

You are right, black on white rape certainly exists and it is just as horrible. I’m sure you know about the Wichita Massacre. The issue for me is that white women are more likely to advocate for themselves than black women are. We were and still are more likely to care about black men even if it means sacrificing black womanhood. As a black woman, I am troubled by that and hope to help black women care more about ourselves than we do already.
Why is it that Black women don’t report rape/sexual assaults by Black males? Are they afraid of the police/the rapist or the idea that they are “betraying” the Black race by “snitching” on their own people? I’m really curious to know. Also, I read a disturbing statistic one time that said that something like 75% of Black women are the victims of some sort of sexual assault by the time they are 18? Can you verify this?

I don’t know what the exact numbers are but a good number of black are or will be sexually abused in her lifetime. I’ll look it up ASAIGAC. Black women historically did not report crimes committed by black men because they didn’t want to see a so-called brotha in jail. The sooner we get out of that mindset the better.
