So You Think Jehovah Is Evil?
Not sure why this is touching me right now, but it is:
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace”- Ephesians 1:7
It’s one of many beautiful passages of scripture.
I got into a discussion about the Gnostic Gospels over at a blog I enjoy reading. I was informed that the Gnostic Gospels portray the God of the OT and NT as evil. Naturally, I was taken aback by the “revelation.” Don’t get the wrong idea, I am troubled by some of the actions of God in the bible. But, I don’t see him as evil since that would make human beings evil.
Did God order babies killed? Yes, but so do human beings…it’s called therapeutic abortion.
Did God order war? Yes, but so do human beings.
As much as I have a problem with the Bible and Christianity, I would not classify it as evil.

while looking for a health related topic, I ran across ths title. B4 u get your knickers in a twist, one must understand what the word evil actually means and what it does not mean.
The word evil only means discomfort, distress, disease or anything negative or bad.
That is why, in the Bible, at Gen 8:21, in regard to the global deluge that cleansed the earth of the disrespect that going on in those days, Jehovah says “Never again shall I call down EVIL upon the ground upon on man’s account, ….
Now whoever said that Jehovah is evil as in inherently evil, well that is a different thing because they are using it as a connotation that maligns his holy name, and that is so wrong, its stupid and grammatically incorrect.
“The Rock, perfect is his activy, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice. Righteous and upright is he.” Deut 32:4.
Well Lormarie, you have to understand that the Gnostics believe in the “demiurge” concept, not the actuality of The Most High God, Lord o f Heaven and Earth, the Father, as Jesus revealed.
Hello there!
I think that there are people who want to find comfort in a God who will NOT exact any consequences for anything and who sits up in Heaven in a big chair dolling out hugs…. that is the concept of God that they want to cling to….
They want to say that GOD can’t do this and GOD can’t do that… so are they putting themselves in a superior position to GOD when they decide what GOD can not be or do???
Peace, blessings and DUNAMIS!

There is only one GOD and his name is JEHOVAH.
People only go for pagan deities and the supposed unknown, unseen god who is the “real” god because they cannot accept responsibility for their own, often sexual actions and need a “god” to allow them to excuse those actions to themselves.
What JEHOVAH says goes – end of story
RaHoWa
Agreed 100% on your assertion as to why some reject Jehovah. But I can’t return your RaHoWa salutation for obvious reasons. Have fun with it, though.
