Paul Washer: A Comment That Deserves It’s Own Post

Here is acomment by T Johnson regarding a post I wrote about Southern Baptist preacher, Paul Washer:

Wow there is alot going on on this site. I think Paul Washer speaks the truth that no one wants to hear thats why people get offended and instead of looking into there own hearts or praying for him if they do in fact believe and have proof that he is a false teacher, they somehow find a way to justify going around bashing him on websites or to people they find themselves in casual conversation with. Show me scripture where God says its okay to do anything outside of love as if we, the imperfect sinners we are, have the right to act as if we are better than anyone. As if our salvation is something that we had anything to do with. The only thing we contribute to salvation is our sinful need for it. Paul Washer is not being self righteousness by telling the truth according to God’s word. If he thinks that the same sermon He is preaching doesn’t apply to him then yes he is being self righteous. But if you listen to more than just this sermon you will know that he doesn’t think that he is some how beyond sermons he preaches.

Here he responds to my comments about the southern baptists having their roots in racism:

I would like to comment on the racist comment that was made above the video. I am a southern baptist and I am not a racist. Racism isn’t a denomination problem it’s a sinful people problem and is a sin just like pride and self righteousness are sins. Paul Washer says that he is a southern baptist because of the unwavering fact that there is only one way to Christ according to scripture. Once again that isn’t just one denomination either, there are others that believe the same. And there are some baptist churches that are starting to waver in even that truth which is sad. There are racists outside of churches as well as in churches. Scripture does not support racism just like it doesn’t support homosexuality, gluttony, pride, self righteousness, lying, stealing, murdering, hatefulness etc. God is holy and there is no one sin that is worse than the other. Sin is sin in His eyes. Viewing all southern baptist as racist because of history or personal encounters is just as bad as the person who is racist towards any race because of history or their personal encounters with that race. And it’s not just applied to black people. It’s one races hatred towards any race that is not theirs which is wrong no matter how you try to bend scripture to fit into the point you want to prove.

  1. Elijah says:

Paul Washer has no love in him. He does not know God and God does not know him. If this were not true, he would in no wise ignored my fatherless cause.
