According to TMZ, Tiger Wood’s wife beat his arse over his alleged cheating. Here’s a snippet:
We’re told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We’re told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV — but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

Yes I know there’s a double standard in favor of women when it comes to domestic violence. Men should not be victims of violence. But there is something strangely… well… nevermind. We don’t know the whole story. Let’s not judge this woman just yet.

If this is DV I have a very sad thought in my mind. My money is on people nitpicking this for comparisons to Chris Brown in order to justify “Why are they being so hard on her when they were so light on Chris Brown” type commentary and if they find one iota of proof they will go nuts.

Dean- I think it’s best to leave that aspect of race/culture out of it since we will be opening up a Pandora’s box. Swedish ww may be commiting more crimes but black males tend to lead the pack wrt criminal activity wherever they are. That doesn’t mean Tiger should be abused (if in fact he was abused). Even knowing that trying to make her to to be the victim they would silencing the actual DV victim of the situation. Its bad enough that male DV victims are treated horribly it would be quite the bit of salt in the wound for the commentary to be dominated by, “You’re just treating her that way because she’s a woman!”
And while it may be true that there might not be any evidence of DV I have to wonder how hard was it checked out. If the genders had been reversed and she just tried to chalk up it to a car accident she caused would the story still be this relatively quiet?
I don’t think they’re making her out to be the victim. All I’m saying is that those who wanted to give Chris Brown the benefit of the doubt should give it to Tiger’s wife. Now maybe they will see the error of their thinking.

Unfortunately I have to disagree. As with many women that become violent there are many that will rush to to that woman’s aid to show “what made her do it”, a consideration a they would not extend to a man. If this turns out to be DV I really think there will be reversal of the Chris Brown/Rihanna abuse in which those that went on. Those that came down on Brown like a ton of bricks will treat her with kid gloves and paint her as the poor woman that is getting picked on and not talk about her committing

You would be correct…but for the same reason I would not had said it if it were a white man/black woman. I couldn’t even say it about a black woman or a latina. None of the above have the reputation of being pushovers when it comes to the opposite sex.
Far from the topic? Perhaps. I thought Stanley Dunham and Ruth Nidesand were good examples of how many psychologically-disturbed white women demean and degrade themselves as concubines to Black men — the phenomenon you alluded to in the title above.
