Calling all Christian fiction readers! Have you read The Shack by William P. Young? Currently reading it? If so, drop me a line [...]

I just saw an excellent video about a street evangelist’s conversation with a homosexual. Notice he did not nag on about the gay issue, but kept things pure. I’m not an evangelist, but anyone can recognize that it was the proper strategy. To view the video, check out StreetFishing.

A few posts ago, I wrote about multicultural holy rolling (pretty catchy title eh?). I should add that I’ve seen people in non-Christian services mimic the same type of movements Christians would call “praise and worship.” Last night, I stumbled across the video below:
Supposedly, these people are affiliated with Todd Bently, but I could not [...]

On any given Sunday, you will find a black woman singing the praises of her God. But what we rarely see are black female atheists or agnostics. I’m quite sure that most of the people attending this “preachers” meetings were too afraid to question or “try the spirit” as some would claim. Because of this fear, they made utter fools of themselves. This is one of the reasons I will no longer embrace Pentecostalism.

It’s no secret that I happily identify myself as an “Ex-Christian.” I haven’t taken the label as far as Dan Barker, some of the members of Ex-Christian.net or De-Conversion. But freeing myself from many of my former beliefs and practices is both rewarding and difficult at the same time. In other words, [...]
